Wins for AES Engineering in sustainability awards

southyorkshiresustainabilityawards-22-1

The Rotherham-based reliability and mechanical seals group, AES Engineering, which has AESSEAL® as its main brand, has been recognised in multiple categories of the South Yorkshire Sustainability Awards.

The company won the award for Large Business of the Year, and for Net Zero Business of the Year, with its global business activities for 2021 delivering CO2e savings equivalent to the environmental impact of more than 18 million trees.

In addition, Group Engineering Director Stephen Shaw was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and International Business Assurance Manager David Montero was named Green Ambassador of the Year.

AES Engineering Managing Director Chris Rea said, that it was an honour for the company to be recognised for its action and commitment on sustainability and the environment by its peers, and by the community where it is based.

This encourages us to work even harder to create sustainable jobs and provide leadership in the fight to ensure there is a future for our children and grandchildren. We are benefiting from our decision to give a high priority to sustainability projects. This not only helps us as a business, but is also enormously beneficial for customers, and ultimately for the planet.

I chose engineering as a career because it is my belief that it is engineers who change things or supply the tools to change things. AESSEAL is the best engineering company I’ve ever been involved with and I’m happy to be contributing to the growth of this business and success of this business
