Betterworld.Solutions member British Rototherm was singled out for its contribution to sustainability at Rolls Royce’s annual conference.
The South Wales-based company, which is connected to the invention of the world’s first steam pressure gauge, was presented with the Horizon Award for best practice in Rolls Royce’s supply chain for Sustainability.
Owner and managing director Oliver Conger said Rototherm was honoured to receive the award and to have achieved Gold Award status.
He also complimented AESSEAL for inspiring the work of the company.
Oliver said: “It has been a week to be proud of our team, their growth, and the impact they’re having on our customers and partners around the world.
“It’s not just our own team behind these achievements. The support, challenge and partnership from the Rolls Royce teams make the progress in our business possible. Working with the right customers truly accelerates capability, and we see the power of that every day.
“At British Rototherm Group, our mission is simple: to design and manufacture the most accurate and most reliable measurement solutions — delivered in the most sustainable way. To see this commitment recognised at such a level means a great deal to everyone across the group.
“I was also fortunate to share best practice alongside people I admire enormously — genuine leaders who show what it means to help others progress. They’ve opened their doors to our teams, shared their world-class strengths, highlighted the pitfalls, and done so with no agenda other than supporting a stronger supply chain.
“Our work on sustainability has been inspired by true collaboration — with AESSEAL setting one of the highest benchmarks anywhere. If you want to see what world-class sustainability really looks like, take a look at the work Chris Rea and his team are doing. It’s extraordinary.”
Alongside the two company achievements, the Business Development team’s Rob Eccles was recognized with the Unsung Hero Award for his outstanding contribution.
Oliver added: “Our goal is to continue inspiring others across the supply chain to collaborate, innovate and improve together. That’s how we build the world’s best supply chain for this industry. I am looking forward to what we achieve next.”
This summer, Rototherm began developing its own tree walk at its Port Talbot headquarters following the opening of the AESSEAL walk in Rotherham.
