Betterworld.Solutions member Element Logic is demonstrating how operational efficiency and environmental responsibility can coexist in the intralogistics sector.
Element Logic's approach to sustainable automation includes the use of innovative solutions like the AutoStore system, a compact Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). The system is engineered to reduce energy consumption in warehouses, using as little as 100 watts per hour and operating without the need for lighting or ventilation. This design contributes to reducing overall energy demands for heating, cooling, and lighting while optimizing storage capacity.
Agnethe Brown Erland, VP of Sustainability at AutoStore, highlights the environmental benefits: “The robots are designed to operate in low-energy environments, which is a win for our customers and for the planet.” (Source: Whitepaper)
In addition to energy efficiency, Element Logic promotes the circular economy by designing modular systems that are recyclable, repairable, and upgradable. These efforts reduce waste and extend the lifespan of their equipment, reflecting a commitment to sustainability in practice. The company also adheres to EU sustainability guidelines, such as the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), ensuring transparent management and reporting of their environmental and social impacts.
Element Logic’s efforts serve as a valuable example for the intralogistics industry and align with Betterworld.Solutions’ mission to promote sustainable business practices.
