AESSEAL Australia has announced that its headquarters building in Brisbane has been certified under the BREEAM sustainability scheme - the first building in Australia to receive such a certification.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is a way of evaluating a building’s specification, design, construction, and use in a range of categories including energy and ecology. Each category focuses on factors including reduced carbon emissions, low impact design, adaptation to climate change, ecological value and biodiversity protection.
Carbon Climate Certified Managing Director Barry Rankin said that AESSEAL’s Australian HQ had achieved a BREEAM Certification of ‘Excellent’ with a credit score of 78.3%. He said that the award was a tribute to the spirit of collaboration and the efforts of the entire team in the Australian operation.
